Illustration done from a stock photo for the feather, and a stock photo used as texture for the writing. In the end I was very happy with the bold style on this one. It's relatively simple, but the imagery is definitely larger in scale and less complicated than what I generally do for CAB. It created an overall look and feel that really represented the coffeehouse feel they were looking for in the event. Luckily they liked it as much as I did.
